The business question · Audit trail

“Can we see who did what, and why?”

The concept

One thread from request to result

Every call, change and decision is recorded so the story can be followed end to end.

How it works
Every model call, change and approval is written to one linked trail, so any result can be followed back to the request, the person and the reason.
Why it matters
You can explain what your AI did to an auditor or a regulator without a forensic project.
The result
Any action on the platform can be traced back to a request, a person and a reason.

The business problem

Nobody could reconstruct what the AI did, or why.

Regulators and auditors increasingly ask companies to explain what their AI did, on whose behalf and with what approval. Agents, automations and people all change the platform. Without one trail, nobody could reconstruct what happened or why.

Why this concept

Design the trail in: every call traced, every change saved, every decision written down

Separate logs answer separate questions; an auditor needs one thread from the request to the result.

Also considered

  • Rely on each tool's own logs

What we put in place

  • Every AI conversation, model call and tool call is traced and kept for inspection.
  • Every approval is recorded with who asked, who approved and why.
  • Every change to the platform is saved to version control on a schedule, after a secret scan.
  • Every command an agent sends to the server goes through one queue that records who asked for it.

The result

Before

Nobody could reconstruct what the AI did, or why.

After

Any action on the platform can be traced back to a request, a person and a reason.

I build accountability into AI from the start, because it is far harder to add later.

In your organization

AI you can explain to an auditor or a regulator without a forensic project.
