Portfolio / Work That Gets Done

The business question · Adoption and change

“Will people actually use it?”

The concept

Meet people where they work

The AI lives inside Teams and Microsoft 365 instead of asking people to learn a new tool.

How it works
The AI is delivered inside Teams and Microsoft 365 in plain language, so using it feels like messaging a colleague.
Why it matters
People use it without a training program, which is where most good AI tools fail.
The result
People use the platform from the app they already work in, without a new tool to learn.

The business problem

A separate AI portal is one more place nobody goes.

Gartner names poor change management as a reason AI projects are abandoned: good technology that nobody adopts. A separate AI portal would be one more place to go. Owners, family members and invited users needed something they would use without training.

Why this concept

Put the AI inside Microsoft Teams, with plain language and approval cards

Adoption follows convenience: meeting people in the tool they already open every day removes the biggest barrier.

Also considered

  • A new web portal for the AI

How it works

Ask as you would a colleague

Agent

Answer

Arrives in the same chat

Result

Used without training

What we put in place

  • Made Microsoft Teams the front door, with each person signed in under their own identity.
  • Let people ask in plain language and get finished work back in the same chat.
  • Used cards with buttons for approvals and status, so common actions are one tap.
  • Replaced several morning reports with one brief, delivered in Teams each morning.

The result

Before

A separate AI portal is one more place nobody goes.

After

People use the platform from the app they already work in, without a new tool to learn.

I treat adoption as a design requirement, not a training problem after launch.

In your organization

AI that people use because it is where they already are.
